I agree that Bollywood movies and give up or change some of the aspects of film-making...but songs and dance is not one of them - definitely not!

So true!!There's a certain something in many Bollywood songs and dances,that's missing from,say heavy metal and the like!And,imagine the variety-from a cool 'Masakali'(From Delhi6, the latest rage) to 'Bachna Ae Haseenon',there's a song for every mood.So,if the 'elite' feel that they need to turn up(down?) their noses at Hindi songs,it's their loss.:)

You are absolutely correct. however the so called "elites" pretend to dislike the music, it is in fact an integral part of Indian culture. In fact its a multi-billion industry and for that one has to give credit to the songs and dances.

Bollywood songs are Bollywood songs. (STOP).
